Madrasah Fatima Taz-Zahra in Ottery, Cape Town is a girls-only Islamic learning centre established in the year 1994. Offering advanced religious education, including Quran memorization, ethics, and life skills. The madrasah fosters piety, discipline, and personal growth within an Islamic framework
During 1994 the need for a “Females Only” madrasah in Cape Town was identified where Muslim females could reside and learn in an Islamic environment with strict hijab (segregation) facilities. Hence, an institute of this nature was suggested. Other such learning centers in South Africa were only available in Johannesburg.
Madrasah Fatima Taz-Zahra offers two key female-focused Islamic programs: the five year Aalimah Course and the structured Hifz (Quran memorisation) Course. The Aalimah course develops deep Arabic grammar, Tafsir and Hadith understanding, while the Hifz course guides students to accurately memorise the entire Quran with professional Huffaz support.
A five-year traditional Darul Uloom program that builds strong foundations in Arabic, Tafsir, and Hadith.

A structured Quran memorisation course with guidance from certified Huffaz, focusing on accuracy and Tajwid.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah I was blessed to visit Madrassah Fatima Taz Zahra.
